Ravioli Lasagna with Meat Sauce
What is Ravioli Lasagna?
Ravioli Lasagna is just cheese ravioli layered with a hearty meat sauce and lots of cheese to give those similar tastes of lasagna. It is cheesy, warm, and super filling.
Reasons to Consider Making Ravioli Lasagna with Meat Sauce
- I buy the 3lb bag of frozen ravioli from our local store, but I only use half for this recipe which means I can get two meals out of it! Plus, the recipe only calls for 5 ingredients. This is a recipe that fits into our family grocery budget well.
- It comes together so fast! Seriously, while you are boiling ravioli, you brown the meat. Then everything is cooked, so you are really just putting everything in the oven for the cheese to get nice and melty.
- It is so delicious!
You don’t like mushrooms? Okay, no problem!
I tend to add a can of mushrooms when I make most of my pasta sauces. I think it just bulks up the sauce, makes it heartier, and gives it a little something extra. That being said, the mushrooms are totally optional!
What type of pasta sauce?
We use jarred or canned. Sometimes we use traditional, but we also like roasted garlic flavor. I think a marinara sauce would also work really well!
Okay… So about the cheese….
You can use whatever cheese you want. If you like the traditional mozzarella and parmesan blend, go for it.
I know this is probably a little unusual, but my favorite blend of cheese is mozzarella and cheddar. They just melt and blend so well together. That being said I know I’m weird. I just really love cheddar. Yes, I am one of those people who eats cheddar cheese with apple pie. So that was a long way to say, hey use whatever cheese you like.
