What is the Mandie Book Series?
Written by author Lois Gladys Leppard, the Mandie series is a turn of the century children’s mystery series of books with Christian virtues and themes.
Why do I love the Mandie Collection?
I remember visiting the local bookstore as a young girl with my mother to spend my allowance buying a new book and Mandie books were always at the top of the list. I have loved historical fiction and mysteries from a very young age. Besides Nancy Drew, these books were my first time to read detective stories.
Since I always found the Mandie books to be such exciting mysteries and couldn’t wait for new releases. Whether she was investigating mysterious noises, following treasure maps, or visiting parts of the United States or various countries, Mandie was always having an adventure. Another bonus was my mother loved that they taught important life lessons, so she had no problem taking me to the bookstore.
What is information is included in this post?
Recently, when I decided to look into purchasing these books for my daughter, I discovered that they are now broken into volumes. Therefore, I compiled my research on the volumes and what is included as well as books in order here in this post. Volumes 1-4 are each a five-in-one volume, so a great introduction to Mandie, the remaining volumes are about 3 books each with Volume 11 being the exception. The 11th Volume features two exciting special edition stories, one of which being a Christmas Holiday story.
