Monte Cristo Croissant

All the flavors of the original Monte Cristo Sandwich on a light, flaky Croissant.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Croissants I purchase these in the bakery section at my local grocery store.
  • 12 pieces sliced turkey sandwich meat
  • 12 pieces sliced ham sandwich meat
  • 8 Slices Swiss Cheese
  • 4 tbsp Raspberry Jam
  • 2 tsp Powdered Sugar

Method
 

  1. Using a bread knife, carefully horizontally cut croissants into two pieces.
  2. Preheat a skillet on the stove and warm both sides of the croissant pieces.
  3. Continue heating until all pieces are lightly toasted.
  4. Place all croissant bottoms on a microwave safe plate.
  5. Top each croissant bottom with 3 pieces of turkey, 3 pieces of ham, and 2 slices of Swiss.
  6. Heat the loaded croissant bottoms in the microwave for 30 seconds or just until cheese has started to soften and melt.
  7. On the croissant tops, spread 1 Tbsp of raspberry jam on each. Gently sprinkle 1/2 tsp of powdered sugar on top of jam.
  8. Place the Croissant tops on the bottoms and serve.
