Candied Jalapeno Pimento Cheese
This Pimento Cheese is anything but ordinary. The candied Jalapenos add a sweet and spicy kick of goodness.
Candied Jalapenos Ingredients
- 3 Jalapenos
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ⅛ cup White Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Water
Pimento Cheese Ingredients
- 1½ cups Medium Cheddar Shredded
- 1½ cups Sharp Cheddar Shredded
- 4 oz. Cream Cheese Softened
- 1 cup Mayo
- 4 oz. Pimentos drained
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
For the Candied Jalapenos
Chop Jalapenos. (Use gloves to avoid burning hands).
Mix sugar and vinegar.
Add jalapenos, sugar vinegar mixture, and water to saucepan and bring to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute.
Let simmer for 10 minutes or until thickens into a syrupy texture.
Remove from heat, and let cool while you start on the pimento cheese.
For the Pimento Cheese
Mix together all ingredients listed for pimento cheese.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Gently fold in the Candied Jalapenos.
If you like it a little warmer, try doubling the candied jalapenos recipe.
Make sure you use gloves when cutting jalapenos to protect your hands.
